In 2011, the Easton Garden Club is offering a scholarship of $1,000 to a deserving junior or senior high school student.
Applicants reside in Easton, Connecticut but may attend high school outside the town or may be home-schooled. Candidates must demonstrate interest in pursuing higher education or a career in one or more of the following fields: agriculture, biological studies, environmental studies, forestry and wildlife management, horticulture, landscape design or marine biology.
The scholarship is awarded based on leadership and excellence as exemplified through academic achievement and extracurricular activities, including commitment to community service.
